Biography

Ellen Ishimoto

In October 2014, Ellen was appointed Assistant Chief. The Assistant Chief serves as Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for providing mission and values-based leadership, direction, support, and assistance to the OTech operating divisions to optimize operational effectiveness.

Prior to this appointment, Ellen spent 30 years in the public sector that includes 24 years in the information technology field.  Ellen’s experience includes seven years at the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the California State Lottery (Lottery), Chair of the State of California Enterprise Architecture Committee, and various management positions at the Department of Transportation and Department of Technology.  Ellen brings a valued customer perspective to the leadership team.

Ellen has a Business Administration degree from California State University in Fresno, is ITIL certified, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
